Here are the PDF files for Co-Design Workshop:

So after presentation it is helpful for my design project :D

i got some good feedback but there are few things that needs to be develop a bit :

- Meditation space and moodiness is good

-projectors are cool

- change the rails up roof to fit the themes better

- maybe make a view to the ceiling which can be seen from downstairs like water ripple from pocket forest

- Handrail Materials need to change to fit the theme as well (not only pale white of steel)

Project specific prompts for Urban Itinerary: cinematic space Part 2 Questions:

1) What is the focus of your project in relation to the cinematic spaces brief?

My design focuses it’s telling transitional cinematic space between nowadays cities occur constructed and composed with PVC and compared before British Settlment in 1841 it was forest and a seascape of fort lane . This timber is to convey the old method constructions of history in 1800 it’s industries. It reflects a method to use wood to improve NZ cities. These wood are simple constructions that awaken the space. The history first method to use wooden materials to build houses less toxic for it’s environment is also giving humidity to improve our cities plants and forest. Constructing buildings built land changes by crowns and compare before crown settlement 1840 back to the earliest transitional space the historical environment it’s built with water and native forest.

2) How did your cinematic device document the site ?How did you respond insightfully to those findings?

The cinematic device shows a transitional illusion of slower scenes into rush scenes. In my observations, these lights tells the time of the day. Most people after work the noise affected by cars and the site became a sudden cut less people on site are framed with people movements during the evening . They have immediately got into the cars stuck at traffic jams that make more people stress.

The most interesting thing I have found in these spotlights are the hidden histories that gave me a sense like water flow movements.By looking through the cinematic device, I have also started to connect with slower scenes that express water attention to historical materials. I’m thinking of applying historical materials to slow their movements by meditation and relaxation.

3) What are the key thresholds/ scene transitions in your proposal? How do these related to cinematic transitions?

After developing from Site devices, these curves tell different scenes connections from a rush transitional city. Their movements have captured me. Their hidden circulations reflect the historical theme of forest and lake of water in 1827 . These ideas gave me a series to create changes from slower and relaxing transitions to navigate time travelling their hidden history of how cities urban change, bringing back their water and forest in my spatial models. And change their lifestyle of rushing movements

4) How does your proposed design activate the site as a public space?

My proposed Design will be activated as a cinematic relaxing area, bath area echoing immersive touch, meditation of historical Moa forest, dancing on water and bridge will interact within the history materials design move from gathering and touching on natural materials(wood, water, limestone elements) in the living space with performance. These built environments connected to people gathering quality and a space to rest as a public space.

Although cultures and climates are different, people are the same. They’ll gather in public if there’s a place to relax.

5)What kind of scripting are you using to programme your design over time?

Most of New Zealand historical place it's been demolished. Many places have been forgotten. So i want to purpose to know their own history for future generations.

The design of threshold it also gives us memories by these solid wavy curves sculptures the program design it’s reflecting back before buildings exist to our site. It was a natural environment and their forest lake and land memories. Therefore, I have used poetic scripting to program my design to capture the imaginative historical underwater bring on ground that relates history memories and imagine hearing the bird and water sound for a place to relax. The History context shows the water connections action gathering and imagining nature homes that are occurring.

6) How are you exploring surface conditions as an integral part of your design?

Material Narrative and Surfaces The creative precedents (case studies) you have included in the presentation are very refined and edited spaces. I recommend that you analyse these images carefully and work out how the designer has composed these spaces

I have influenced by E studio to create board on the wall imitate the water ripple. unique visual effect contributes to an unconventional experience with cats.

Concept of a sharing space for both people and cats, the challenge of this project is to keep balance between the spaces for the two users. Thereof these water surfaces are communicating with similar concepts of exploring surface of memories to be experience with forest that exists in cities as a sharing space the balancing of Kaitiakitanga and Whenua. Natural livngs. I have add solidity pattern of water to apply on glass to test the water surfaces how will it projected with shadows.

Kengo Kuma have carefully considered form of wood that illustrates the aspect of lack of natural materials. He defined wood and can get very warm feelings. He has enhanced the beauty of wood of Japanese history preserves humidity to keep our natural grains.

. Our cities have many structural building forms with plastic pvc and artificial materials.

This wood is to convey the old method constructions of history in 1800 it’s industries. Today they are often constructed and composed with PVC after British Settlment in 1841 . This wood it’s reflecting a method to use wood to improve NZ cities. These wood are simple constructions that awaken the space. The history first method to use wooden materials to build houses less toxic for it’s environment is also giving humidity to improve our cities plants and forest.

Bruder Klaus Chapel, Zumthor captures the dramatic relationship between the Bruder Klaus Field Chapel and its natural environment from space.Where it has natural environment to reshape it’s history refigure senes of the past. Therefore it gave me an idea using stone to communicate the 1000 AD forest to portray forest concave history to capture the scene of fort lane forest looking.

7)What has emerged from your material and design processes?

I have emerged from historical wood, water glass concrete, Pocket Forest with grass, and limestones to emerge through design processes.

Design Development Part 1 Questions:

River, Forest, memories, Rejunvenate cities.

Fort lane was merely water and forest. Nowadays after British settlements 1841 it change our cities environments. They affect bird life, ground browsing forest and animals' livings, forest begin disappeared at the end of blind valleys. There are lots of building air pollutions after the Crown changes to cityscape.

Today Fortlane it’s appearing with artificial materials such as plastic acrylics and PVC etc on furnitures and buildings.

My design focus it’s telling a transitional from cities films reflecting cinematic memories of original seascape and into Māori Tui(Moa) 1000AD forest that exists history before on fort lanee ,to show our beloved with natural livings.

I aim to let user remember the historic atmospheric natural living scenes today we are lack of natural materials and soil. Therefore I have use natural materials to rejuvenate the space bringing a warm natural living feelings. Our user will have a resting area to project the map of changing from forest into transitional river and cities, and show our beloved with natural livings in Pocket Forest.

Therefore i have repurpose Kaitiatanga it’s environments using natural materials to aid the climate changes that affects on user health with stressful moments. The user will experience with in cinematic space relax in the underwater cinema Harbour bridges and meditation with forest.

2)What already exists there?

Fort lane have plaster, bricks, steel and PVC materials that exists on Fort Lane. Which i want to propose my materials that are natural elements to give a beneficial environment more than artificial ones.

3) What are the key thresholds/ scene transitions in your proposal? How do these related to cinematic transitions?

The key thresholds from cities changes to forest nowadays our cities are involved with building man made materialities were transformed into part of half Crown in 1840. The inceptions captures a scenes of island therefore i have used mapping to let user understand the hidden how the forest transformed into cities of urban changes. The shore connects Forest open up to lake pool this water space has a series of chambers these water reached on characterics related to various cinematic films. The water space are bodies of sea.

Reading Of site as an absent body of water. Fort Lane was originally the sea. This project has invented a series of water chambers which draw on imaginary water scenes from films, and historic imagery of the original intertidal seascape.

These films are double imaginary play Aquaman scenes are historic imagery of site in relation to new imagery of water echo documentation.

Tumantauega movies relates imagery document aspect Pocket forest natural livings and compare iimagery document of changes in cities themes in Program 1. Before they erased the entire oceans and landform on shore locations The crossing bridge exited waterways in1827 this is an important aspect of the historical site . Therefore, the shack movies scenes capture me bringing the memories to dance on water movement by admiring the bridges to give a deeper historic moment to the user.

4) What ethical implications might be in terms of what i am proposing?

I’m proposing a resting area forest and river places which let society slower their transitions less arguments with others between their work motivations to be more relax creating less stressful moments of site.

5) What are my responsibilities as a designer on this site?

6) What specific community is your design proposal in service of ?

Interventions mainly in service for future public user communities. On weekdays would mainly focus on a businessman (adults) , Uni-students and workers, weekends would be families and elderly.

7) What field of design am i proposing into (architecture, interiors, public activiation etc) and what are the associated contexts of each field as it relates to my proposal?

8) What kind of scale am i working at?

4310mm x 6691mm x12694mm wide

3160 mm x3368mm 2536mm height

4-6 people in each program

9)What materials am i using and why?

I have mainly use wood glass and concrete in my research these materials could create noises with wood welcoming space and underwater of echo of clapping sound. But then i also have used limestones and grass materials to create lower noises for the meditation space. And these important surface materials which relate to history where I have mentioned in my progress surface material design.

10)What specific details need to be worked out in terms of programme construction; temporality and concepts?

11) How long is my proposal going to last, what do i need to consider in a range of durational possibilities ?

My proposal will be a fixed term design, I will have to consider the user safety moving space if my entrance exists. How will they walk from another street or restaurant on fortlane to enter my space?

Instead, underground water waste occurring on Fort lane there might be a user causing them doesn’t want to stay. Therefore my materials might be affected by the waste water smell.

12) Describe the experimental journey through the design (Story telling)

In a busy working day, two workers who walks past by Fort Lane. They are both trying to find a quiet space while at a busy time enjoys his meal and relaxes.

There’s a fairy tale say ‘’Welcome to awaken space I’ll come aid your pressure and environment giving you a refreshing space here will be for you to relax get water bath and with our beloved Pocket forest meditation !’(The fairy symbolized the color of program green, blue and brown to visualised the back of program water echo, forest and bridge of walking and dancing in the water space.)

An office workers David and Cherry start to attract by light passing through these water shadows. It motivates him to walk but his wife want to stay eating popcorns and joins him back later in the room. David starts experiencing the time-travelling back historical environments between native pocket forest and cities, by touching materials and water. He wants to refresh have a bath shower temperature water, meanwhile, he is curious heard someone clapping trying to make an echo. And sitting in the cinematic room waiting for his wife to meet up, his wife bringing popcorn along experiencing underwater with species and clapping with another user. He looked at his wife. David, curious about the sound of someone clapping making an echo, found out why it was her wife and another man clapping. They are feeling atmospheric water and enjoying the forest cinematic of sound birds. Then they heard people laughing whispering he heard the walking water footage sound with a historical crossing bridge, so they decided to walk to the top later.

  • Forest open up to lake pool this water space has a series of chambers these water reached on characterics related to various cinematic films. The water space are bodies of sea

  • Reading Of site as an absent body of water. Fort Lane was originally the sea. This project has invented a series of water chambers which draw on imaginary water scenes from films, and historic imagery of the original intertidal seascape.

  • These films are double imaginary play Aquaman scenes are historic imagery of site in relation to new imagery of water echo documentation.

Before going up to the roof, His wife wants to experience day time and night time forest scenes therefore she have entered different temperatures of light with Moa scenes with meditation to refresh her mind before going to work. The surface express warmness with light made David curious about these surface with smell of plants and rocks in cave. Therefore he stands outside waiting hsi wife. After meditating, hs wife felt happy and enjoyable, so they started to walk up the stairs with bridge. His wife wants to walk on water to dance and have a stretch. They started to think that it would be good to come back and sit under the sunshine later to research these hidden forest changes. After all, they does not feel tired, they are ready to go back to work.

In the evening, they both came back again after work. Feeling overwhelmed because they knows there will be lousy traffic jams going back to the north shore. The both worker found this place that they can stay in to avoid traffic. And David would want to experience meditation and echo of sound.

13) What draws people to my project? What is the first thing they see where do they enter ?What are the series of space which unfold from there? How do they exist? What do they see as they journey through spatial sequence ?

The first thing they will see is the Welcome space with fairy tale costume receptionist and serving popcorns. They will enter the firsts transitional cities films projector into bodies of water fort lane was orginally the sea invent water then they will have a series of Pocket Forest. Through materials and the activity that allows them to see as jouney to convey of transitional films from cities change into memorable water forest and lastly they will invent crossing bridge water dance they will exist getting the elevator.

14) A detail can tell the tale of overall design project What part of the story does my detail tell ?How does my detail contribute to the overall design language?

The use of overall design principles it tells language of materials including the stories of using timber giving cities theme feelings , glass, concrete giving natural feelings of water themes and limestone. Pocketforest these detail joints it’s to show the visual sense of being in history bringing back nature context history to contribute overall design language.

15)What materials are you working with, how do those materials fit together and with the existing elements of the site ?Link to the existing materials in the lane

When i use different joints materials, i have to consider these major materials: larger surface installations timber, concrete and limestones to consider these elements that joints with existing materials tiles on fort lane. To be illustrated with mortar weatherboards, concrete and Earth compacted Fill soil to fit together on site. These existing elements help me to guide through the detailed connections joint with different components.

These materials i have used these materials in each material insulation, insulation could reduce heat and fire to give users safety conditions. These are singe layers constructions avoid damaging its environments create less big engineering and pollutions to relate context Kaitiatanga and Whenua.

For the Glass joints, i have used spider joint to get more safer for user instead using glass fins which cause users in danger decrease the moving space in interior. Therefore i have used spider joints.

16)What kind of detail are you developing and how are you articulating in your design proposal

I have developed these primary connections through timber, concrete, and limestones to give different materials a natural feeling. For example concrete and glass material water pipes , limestones with rug grass, timber joints with glass connections it articulating take as much space as to understand history nature material of vision across.

SCRIPT:

  • Fort lane was originally natural forest - Therefore i hv use poetic scripting to captures historical water to imagine bird and sea sounds - water actions imagining nature homes occuring

SURFACE:

  • Kengo Kuma surface design illustrates aspect lack of natural materials- enhanced beaity of wood preserves humidity to keep their grains.

  • I have made these timber surface to convey their first memories of environmental friendly old constructions in 1800 industries. These timber are beneficial less toxic than fort lane bricks materials.

  • Timber giving humidity improve cities plants

  • E studio designer

  • imitate the water ripple sharing space with balance people and cats

  • Therefore i’m trying communicate concepts explore water memories balancing a sharing space Kaitiatanga and whenua

  • Bruder Klaus Chapel using stone materials reshape it;s history refigure senes of past

  • It gave an idea to ocmmunicate 1000 AD forest to capture fort lane history of forest looking

Here are design precedent i’m influencing to

  • North - other buildings block the light - create skylight - brighter in my space - not adapting light problems

SITE ANALYSIS (inorder to reduce the exterior noises from cars and people i have uses walls to reduce noises for meditating and resting places)

  • Wind direction strong from North - roof top - natural wind - reduce air conditions - windy air - Kaitiatanga providing environmental friendly - but for interior glass and cave it’s to afford wind coming through strongly keep the warmness space in Pocket Forest plants

Land levels might let walking ways uncomfortable i have also lifting up the ground levels to be able walk fluently

User Activity - riding bike walk pass walking from supermarket and park they all using shortcut laneway

Overall user are business woman and man therefore i have focusing my design for future uni students workers and weekend would be eldery and family. And overall time they have spent less than 5 mins. So in my design i have made performance activities to slow their movements

7) What kind of scale am i working at? FLOOR PLAN

4310mm x 6691mm x12694mm wide

3160 mm x3368mm 2536mm height
